La scorsa settimana lo show radiofonico White Noise condotto da Dave Clarke ha tagliato il traguardo delle 500 puntate.
Il programma è da sempre una finestra mondiale sulla scena techno, e il Barone negli anni si è prodigato nel mantenere gli standard qualitativi all’altezza delle aspettative di un pubblico esigente che non si è arreso alla banalità delle odierne scalette in FM.
Per festeggiare un risultato così importante Dave ha deciso di redigere una retrospettiva dello show, creando una compilation intitolata semplicemente Dave Clarke presents: A White Noise Retrospective, il cui ricavato andrà alla fondazione olandese No Guts No Glory che si occupa di malati di cancro sprovvisti di assicurazione sanitaria.
Sulla scelta delle 11 tracce selezionate e sull’idea del nuovo mixtape Clarke spiega: “The Public Stand approached me to do this compilations the label releases a lot of music that featured on my show, they wanted to give an homage to White Noise and who could turn down something so lovely? To cover all angles of White Noise I suggested to have Bass Agenda Recordings to provide the electro tracks that have been featured on White Noise past years. The two labels kindly agreed and it was very easy to choose the right tracks. Alex Slagter who does all my design work suggested the charity and we all wholeheartedly agreed”.
